Looking for an authentic German experience that's a short ride from Berlin? Not too far from the hustle and bustle of city life, you can find a more tranquil experience at the Seddiner Lake.
Known to the locals as Seddiner See, this hidden gem in Brandenburg is perfect for snapping pics of a laid-back lifestyle. The small lake has a super relaxing vibe, and if you're up for it, there are sandy beaches where you can lay out your towel.
The lake is surrounded by charming farmlands, woods, a golf course, and the adorable village of Wildenbruch. If you're into history, don't miss the 13th-century church there—it's still standing and in use!

How to get to Seddiner See from Berlin
If you're exploring via public transport hop on a train from Berlin to Michendorf. Once you arrive, you can either grab a taxi or catch the 608 bus heading south.
When to visit
So, I went there in the summer. It's the perfect time if you want to kick off your shoes and enjoy the sand under your feet. But don't count out autumn in Germany! It's a great time to snap some pics of the beautiful brown leaves around the lake.
I've also heard that winter is awesome for photos because the shallow lake often freezes over.
